Your Pen
Your Pen is not just a gift or just a pen; think of it as a work of art.
Your pen is made from real wood or other furniture grade materials, therefore it needs the same care as any fine furniture product.
Follow the instructions (in the Custom Pen Care to ensure years of beauty and enjoyment.)
We guarantee you will be satisfied with the pen or turned item, If you are not satisfied with an item we provided, please send us your concerns through the contact-me page immediately.
If an item arrives damaged. Our shipping insurance, when available, covers costs resulting from damage during transit. This guarantee can not cover ink refills running empty. However we provide refills for sale and / or we can provide catalog information for other sources for pen refills. We can not provide refunds for items that have been damaged due to use, or misuse.
-
This includes damages caused from:
- Extreme temperature conditions
- Water or any liquid damage
- Direct sunlight, this can fade or change the color of many woods and other materials.
- Breakage that occurs from carrying your Pen in any pocket other than a shirt pocket.
- Or any other misuse.
The Platinum fittings on our pens will keep their luster indefinitely if treated responsibly.
Obviously, any metal part that is scraped against another metal object could be scratched,
Be careful as you place your pen down on desks, and avoid carrying it in a pocket with keys.”
The spring clips will last for years if not abused. They are designed for use in shirt pockets only – not jeans pockets!
Forcing a clip over thick material will eventually break it!
The plating on the fittings will not wear off from normal writing use, so don’t worry about it, write as much as you can and enjoy it.
Custom Pen Care
The woods we use are very stable and should not crack under normal circumstances.
- You should avoid leaving the pen in extreme heat or cold in a closed vehicle.
- Do not immerse your pen in any liquids or water.
- Avoid leaving the pen in direct sunlight (this can fade or change the color of many woods and other materials.)
- Keep your pen from extreme heat and humidity
- Do not leave it in a hot car, as wood and acrylics can split under extreme temperature conditions.
Never use any kind of abrasive pad to clean the wood or the plating.
Avoid using any cleaning or finishing product that contains abrasives or cleaning agents.
Car waxes and many household waxes and cleaners often contain fine abrasives or harsh cleaning solvents, these should not be used.
It is our hope that this will reinforce to our customers that these are high-quality wood turnings,
We treat all our customers fairly.
You can be confident that the item will meet or exceed your expectations—guaranteed, or your money back.
If you ever want to restore a dull finish, simply buff on any high-quality furniture wax using a soft cotton cloth.
You won’t ever need to do this with celluloid or deer antler pens.
A very good wax to use is clear boot wax or any of the clear paste-type waxes.
